Day 14

We checked in to a beautiful old stone farmhouse outside of a small town called Poggibonsi on the evening of April 13. It was beautifully appointed with a bedroom upstairs and one down as well as a full kitchen. Outside our windows we saw only vineyards and olive groves on our property and in the surrounding rolling hills.

The bedroom over looking an olive grove and vineyard.

Our kitchen where we made spaghetti with pomodoro sauce

The olive groves were amazing to see. Too bad they were not bearing olives. The farmhouse makes their own olive oil and wine.

We woke up to a rainy day on April 14 but decided to spend the day exploring Siena and were glad we did.

The most tastiest tomato soup after a rainy day of site seeing

The rain didn't bother us much nor the other people out to see this walled city
